Early Intervention Programme for Visually Impaired Children

OUR BACKGROUND
Launched as a pilot project of Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired in September 2000, the Programme was funded by Quality Education Fund for first two years. With the subsequent support of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust since 2003, the Programme continued and has been further developed to serve the children in need. In 2018, the centre was renovated by the funds from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and centre is renamed Ebenezer Jockey Club Early Intervention Centre with various equipment and facilities to upgrade our service.
OUR MISSION
In the love of Christ, we provide counseling, educational & rehabilitation services under the methodology of early intervention, family-oriented and training to the pre-school visually impaired children and other professionals concerned. Our aim is to enhance the children’s visual performance, confidence and independence, in the long run to improve their quality of life.
OUR TEAM
Our team comprised a social worker, special child care workers, special child care workers, occupational therapists, programme and service assistants.
