The Hang Lung Scholarship and Development Donation for the Visually Impaired (2025-2026)
In order to enable youths with visual impairment to achieve whole-person development and pursue their studies and career development, Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired ("Ebenezer") is delighted that "The Hang Lung Scholarship and Development Donation for the Visually Impaired" ("Scholarship") was set up in Oct 2022. The Scholarship is intended to support the visually impaired people1 of Hong Kong to pursue local post-secondary studies or training programmes2, which aims to support the holistic development of visually impaired people in pursuing their tertiary education and career development, and to help achieve diversity and inclusivity within the community through the empowerment of visually impaired people in the development of their skills and the attainment of their aspirations.
Application Period:
From 1 February, 2025 till 10 March, 2025
Eligibility:
The applicant must be:
- visually impaired;
- aged 16 to 40;
- a Hong Kong resident, including permanent resident and non-permanent resident (Valid passport/ Hong Kong Student Visa for non-permanent resident is required);
- current HKDSE student; OR
- prepared to enroll government-funded or non-funded high diploma/ associate degree/ undergraduate/ post-graduate or equivalent level of programme provided by local university/ institution2 (must be officially admitted by the relevant university/institution to be eligible for the Scholarship);
- attained good academic results at internal examinations in current secondary school/ university/ institution
Scholarship Awarded:
The amount of Scholarship awarded will be equivalent to the partial or full tuition fee and other necessary expenses for the entire applied programme. The approved grant of Scholarship will be released on reimbursement basis, i.e. disbursement will be made by submission of original tuition advice/ invoice according to the disbursement schedule as agreed and signed.

Application Method:
Applicant submits a completed application form, with copies of the required supporting documents3 and information as stated on the form on or before Application deadline4 by:

- Submit to "Scholarship Secretariat" of Ebenezer (Address: Room 311 Youth Hub, 3/F, 131 Pokfulam Road, Hong Kong)

Remarks:
- Application in this year will only open for visually impaired people in Hong Kong; staff in Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired will not be considered at the early implementation of this Scholarship scheme.
- Only programmes in Hong Kong or Mainland China will be considered at the early stage of the implementation of this Scholarship. Individual cases will be considered with discretion.
- Please note that all submitted documents will not be returned. Applications without the required documents or information may not be entertained.
- Late applications will not be considered.
