Early Intervention Programme for Visually Impaired Children

Admission

ELIGIBILITY

Children who have been assessed by ophthalmologists or optometrists as having visual impairment are eligible to apply for EIP service. For inquiry, please contact EIP.

HOW TO APPLY

• Self-approach – parents can contact EIP directly

• Referrals – referrals are received from medical doctors, social workers and child care centres

Fee Charging

Fee charging is based on the family income

WITHDRAWAL / TERMINATION OF SERVICE

Usually takes place under any of the following circumstances:

• Child has entered primary one or got admitted into the Ebenezer Child Care Centre

• It is assessed that the child does not need our service

Parents can also request the termination of service of their own accord and they are required to fill out the necessary form to complete the termination procedure.
